Temba aims at promoting the empowerment of women to top and middle managerial positions as well as training young women in self-supporting trades and skills. To this purpose, it runs programmes addressed to women university students as well as training courses for young women in hospitality services and other self-supporting crafts. Bugala Study Centre promotes the academic and social development of young men helping them to prepare for managerial, professional and trade specializations with a strong social concern and ethical integrity.
Each year, an estimated 500 young women and 400 young men participate and benefit from the programs organised in these centres. Kyoga is funded by donations from Ugandans and international donors, both private and institutional. Pearlcrest and Bugala Study Centres each seek the financial support required to run their own programs whereas Kyoga Foundation raises the funds needed for capital development. |
